Lean close, can you smell it?
After a short, sudden rain, complete with rainbows, we went for a walk in the neighborhood in now cool breezes. Robins and cardinals competing for singing honors, peepers on the creek bank, and everywhere the new green of spring. Redbuds, dogwoods, lilacs and fruit trees blooming. At first glance this tree appears covered in snow drifts, but the fragrance is incredibly intoxicating.
Sleepy now, in the dark. I hear an owl. "Who-cooks-for-you?"
