Beach Blancmange

Absolutely wild weather last night and today, huge gusts of wind, rain, the house creaks, I dreamed we were at sea in a boat in a storm. This morning the clouds were racing across the sky, and the fence in the backyard would bow in with the gusts. Power flickering on and off. We went for a walk at the beach, and watched the seabirds playing in the gusts, it's something to see pelicans actually flying backwards (as we slow two-legs stagger backwards on the ground as well). The ocean was being whipped up into amazing colors, with white breakers out as far as we could see, and mounds of quivering sea foam, like some kind of sentient alien blancmange, on the shore.
