Not pairs

I've finished four single socks recently. Not necessarily a good thing, because it means I might be subject to Second Sock Syndrome times 4. First finished was the Meilenweit blue sock, meant for Sean, but somehow, Freudianly, I cast on the wrong number of stitches, raced proudly through the sock and bound off "Ta Da! Wow, that was fast!" only to have Sean try to put it on... way too small. Duh. Measured his foot, consulted Sensational Knitted Socks again and started all over. Amazing what a difference 12 stitches makes. I consoled myself by co-knitting another Monkey sock, this time in Lorna's Laces Supersock called Jungle Stripe. I finished Sean's actual sock on Friday and the Monkey sock on Saturday. Immediately cast on for the second sock of both pair and knit a couple rows of cuff ribbing. This morning, sleepy after last night's milonga, I just couldn't face all those inches of ribbing, so I decided to make this:

a minature sock in yarn leftover from the skein. It was a bit fiddly, taxed my eyebones, but dizzingly quick. I supposed I will have to make another, so I can wear them as earrings to Stitches West next week. It's a way for fellow Knitlisters and Socknitlisters to connect at events, and in these colors, maybe I will run into some Lime and Violet listeners as well.

Came by via the sock knitters' list. That mini sock is really cute. I'd turn it into a bag charm or even a stitch marker. Hmm..ideas for what to do with some of my stash yarn, methinks :)

I notice I am not the only one who had same problem with the Lana Grossa Mega Boot Stretch wool! I have that EXACT one..And found that the colours didnt match up when knitted (so I had to do some "cut and pasting" to get it to match more).

Came via the sock knitters list too by the way.

The rest of the socks look great!!

Oh, that just rocks! Little sock earrings are going to be so cute! I like the idea of stitch markers too. Hmmmm....
Wish we could be at Stitches West but hopefully you will at least run into other listeners.
Wonderful Monkey socks too! I love the colorway.

Your socks are the cutest!!
In order to not ever have second-sock syndrome, you must knit it first!! That's what I do. :)
