Thank you to a friend and student, trying out his new camera: here are a couple of candid photos from Tuesday's tango class. It was an interesting evening; we were faced with the challenge of teaching class on a newly-refinished floor. Heavily coated with fresh Varathane, it was incredibly sticky. Unable to pivot, turn, or even walk easily, we had to come up with creative, interesting and musical ways to dance. We have heard many of the old masters call Argentine Tango "a walking dance," so it was certainly an evening to put it into practice.
