Heat wave

It's hot here today, and hotter every day this week. The last two summers we have had weird weather here in Monterey, way too hot, even at the coast. The year I moved back here from Missouri, '99, we had incredible lightning storms, which are unheard of here, it started a bunch of terrible wildfires down in Big Sur. Lots of people love this hot weather, just go ga-ga and silly over it. Me, I like the fog. I just love watching it roll and creep through the trees and pour down the hill, and the feel of it on my face is delightful.
But the back yard and deck plants seem to be enjoying the sun and warmth today, and the three cats are all AWOL, probably stalking gophers or snoozing under bushes...cat bidness.
