My, what big feet you have!

We had an all-day window cleaning job today in Carmel Valley, up in the hills at a rather isolated house, nestled into a hillside with lots of big trees and brush surrounding it. The owner has no pets, no visiting domestic animals, and routinely sees lynx, bobcat and other wild things come across the veranda or into the courtyard to drink from the fountain. Mountain lions are pretty common around here, even venturing into Pacific Grove city limits.
Coincidentally, I just happened to be wearing my favorite Tiger socks to work today.

I'm hoping to trade on my status as a "catmum" if I ever meet a mountain lion face to face, but it's more than a little unsettling.

clearly identifies different tracks; this print shows the classic teardrop shape toe pads, and lobed heel pad. Sorry, the photo is not the greatest, I had to use my old Treo's camera, as my Canon chose this very moment to go dead. Probably in fear of being eaten.

Just sent you an email re: foot tracks.... I have to admit, I'd much rather see yours :^)
Pretty socks!
Take great care... I personally hope you don't meet one, face to face, up close and personal...

I would faint if I saw one! What do you do if you encounter one?

I like the sock BTW!

When I was Asilomar this spring, they had big-cat warnings posted. Kinda puts a damper on late-night strolls around the grounds! Still, it is their world--we just moved in on it!

Very cool! I know I would probably faint and become cat food if I saw a real live one. Great Socks!
